Many of us have been taught that the the brain is the one that commands the heart through neural signals. This is not the case because its actually the heart that sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart. Signals from the heart effect our emotional processes, including our higher cognitive functions such as problem solving, perception, memory, and attention. I kid you not. You can read this article and search this topic on the internet and you will find a wealth of information regarding this discovery.
My reason for bringing this up is that the majority are not consciously aware that the biggest and deadliest disease in the world today are broken hearts. Many of us carry inside brokenness and scars and many do not know how to deal with the hurt inside. You see the heart matters. A healthy heart equals a healthy soul and happiness. A broken heart brings all kinds of emotional distress and depression. Thus saying this what worries me is the development of the hearts and minds of the future generations to come. There are many critical issues at a global scale we need to address and need to collaborate together in harmony in order to resolve them. We are not going to get there by force or through control. We are also not going to get there by just talking about it, but only by taking action.
Pride, egoism, jealousy, selfishness, arrogance, and evil must be done away in hearts if there is going to be change. True peace begins in our hearts, not in a particular political party nor a religious doctrine. To question the condition of our heart it is something we must all honestly confront inside ourselves. Our actions on how we talk and treat others says allot about in what condition our heart is. Isn’t now the time that we truly face our insecurities? The real battle is inside ourselves and in our way of thinking. Our thought process must also evolve, but before that we have to let love in and forgive not only ourselves, but those who have done us not only wrong, but have offended us in order to be free. (The hard part.)
“A noble and God-like character is not a thing of favor or chance, but is the natural result of continued effort in right thinking, the effect of long-cherished association with God-like thoughts.”
― James Allen, As a Man Thinketh
Misunderstandings are misunderstanding. A misunderstanding is a mistranslation of an action translated incorrectly of a person action or their words. Many conflicts and offenses develop because of misunderstandings. Its time we take initiative and become an example and let people know that every individual thinks different. All our hearts operate and think differently. We are all unique, there is only one version of you. So to avoid misunderstandings its best to shut up and begin to understand the other persons heart. You are not the center of the universe! There are many people out there who are hurting and in order to reach out to them and be a light of love. Your heart needs to be open and ready to serve.
Ladies and Gentlemen, life hits us all, but there is no excuse if we want to see change. Our hearts (we) must be the change.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”―Helen Keller
We must aim for a higher existence inside our minds to ascend to a higher stage or to admonish ourselves if we are to develop into the higher plains in order to also allow our hearts to flourish. The future has infinite possibility. All we have to do is dream and have the courage make it happen. The heart matters.
